Missy Elliott’s career spans over 25 years, & throughout the years she has written & produced numerous amount of hits for
various artists, including herself.
She has now become the first female rapper to be nominated for the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Songwriters are eligible for induction after they have been writing hit songs for at least 20 years.
The Associated Press obtained the list of nominees for the 2019 class, a day ahead of its official announcement, and Missy is
among the list of performing nominees. If inducted she’ll be the third rapper to enter the organization. Jay-Z was inducted back in 2017, & Jermaine Dupri was inducted earlier this year.
Joining Missy as a performing nominee is Mariah Carey, who received her first nomination last year.

Back in May, it was reported that the Boy Scouts of America would be changing their name to simply just “Scouts BSA,” with their members being known as “Scouts,” as they prepare to
welcome girls into their organization.
However, the changes aren’t sitting too well with the Girl Scouts, which is why they filed a
federal trademark lawsuit on Tuesday.
According to Time , the lawsuit is looking to stop the boy’s group from rebranding itself simply as “Scouts.” In the filing, the Girl
Scouts (GSUSA) claims that the move made by the Boy Scouts will “marginalize” The female organization and “erode its core brand identity.”
In the complaint filed in a Manhattan Federal court, it states,
“Since Boo’s announcement
that it would admit girls to its core programs, GSUSA’s fears about the damage that would
be caused to its trademarks and the mission those trademarks symbolize have been realized. Throughout the country, families,
schools, and communities have been told that GSUSA and BSA have merged, or even that GSUSA no longer exists.Parents interested in signing up for Girl Scouts programs have instead mistakenly signed up for the new girls’ programs offered by BSA.”
The Girls Scouts is looking for a court order to stop the Boy Scouts from using the terms “Scout,” “Scouts,” “Scouting,” or “Scouts BSA” without an “inherently distinctive or distinguishing term appearing immediately before it.”

President Buhari has endorsed the N30, 000 minimum wage proposed by the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC.
President Buhari gave the approval for the new salary when he received the report of
the Tripartite Committee on the Review of National Minimum Wage at the Presidential
Villa, Abuja yesterday evening November 6th.
The report was submitted by the
committee’s chairman, Amal Pepple. Buhari has also promised to send a bill to the National Assembly to effect the change
from N18,000 to N30,000.
The NLC had planned to go on a nationwide strike yesterday if the Federal government failed to adopt the N30, 000 minimum wage it proposed.

Katherine Jackson has suffered another debilitating stroke bluebloodz has confirmed exclusively.
This is her second major health setback since April , when the Jackson family matriarch suffered a previous stroke,Now, her famous family is preparing for the worst.
“Katherine had another stroke several weeks ago,”said a source. “Everyone is just bracing for her passing at this point.”
According to another source, the most recent stroke landed her in a Los Angeles- area hospital for about a week toward the end of the summer. Shortly after she
returned home to recuperate, she had to see her doctors again.
“She’s not in good condition and is still struggling to speak. She has said she’s ready to be in heaven with her son,” added another source, referring to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson , who died in 2009.
Sadly, Katherine’s husband Joe died from. an aggressive form of cancer in June of this year.
“Her health has rapidly declined since Joe’s death,” said a source. “She’s been in such pain, both internal and external.
Katherine seems to have given up on even trying in the past month, and it makes her family very sad to see her like this.

Demi Lovato recently checked out of rehab……. And now has a new man.
Bluebloodz learned exclusively that her new man is fashion designer – Henry Levy.
He used to have a drug problem ,” a source close to the Enfants Riches Déprimés owner said. “He used to like to party.”
In a 2016 interview with Complex magazine, Levy opened up about his drug- riddled teen years.
“I was, like, a f**k up in high school,” he told the magazine. “I was caught up in drugs and s**t like that.”
Levy completed his first rehab stint at the age of 15 when he checked into Visions Adolescent Treatment, which is a facility
for underage addicts in Malibu.
He later checked into Cirque Lodge in Utah and Promises in Malibu. He attended an outpatient high school and has lived in several sober living homes.
But now, Levy could be a good influence on Lovato, as the insider claimed he is “sober and straight–edge” at this point.
Also, despite speculation on Levy’s sexuality, the insider insisted he is “straight.”
“He’s always had a thing for brunettes,” the source said. “He’s a good guy, very personable. He’s really cool. He is a genuine person.”

According to a toxicology report, rapper Mac Miller died from an overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol.
On September 7, the world was shocked by the news that Mac Miller had died from an apparent overdose. Miller had been battling to stay clean, but ultimately succumbed to his vices.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office released the official toxicology report which
showed that the rapper died from “mixed drug toxicity.” He was found in his Calfornia home
hours later and was reported to be blue in color and in the ‘praying position,’ kneeling
forward with his hands clasped.

The Leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC and the Trade Union Congress TUC, have suspended its proposed nationwide strike which was slated for November 6th.
The labour unions had planned to embark on an indefinite strike on Tuesday to press home their demands for an upward review
of the minimum wage from N18, 000 to N30, 000.
Rising from a meeting of the tripartite committee set up by the federal government, NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, told reporters that the decision to suspend the industrial action was taken after agreements were reached and documents
signed.
“Having reached this position and agreements signed, the proposed strike action is hereby suspended,” he said.
After meeting for over seven hours, the two teams arrived at different figures. While labour insisted on N30,000, the Govt
delegation proposed N24,000.
Chris Ngige, minister of labour, had said the two figures would be forwarded to President Muhammadu Buhari for approval. The meeting continued at 10pm and after two hours of deliberation, both sides agreed
on an amount.
Wabba, who did not disclose the figure of the new minimum wage but said only the amount would be presented to Buhari.
He said the amount would only be made public after the committee’s report would have been presented to the president by 4.15pm on Tuesday.
